Memorial Ownership Policy
Who owns a memorial page, how ownership can be transferred, and how disputes are handled.
The owner
Each memorial has one owner — the account that created it (or the account it was transferred to). The owner controls the page, billing, family access, and publication.
Transferring ownership
Owners can transfer a memorial to another Ritual account. For your protection, transfers require an additional verification step. The previous owner becomes a family administrator after a transfer.
Disputes between family members
We aim to respect next-of-kin rights. If there is a genuine dispute over a memorial, contact [email protected]. We may temporarily limit changes while a dispute is reviewed and will act on documented, good-faith requests.
